Day 1. Welcome to Hanoi (D)

Warm welcome upon your arrival in Hanoi. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel located in the Hanoi downtown. Your guide’s welcome speech will give you  overall information about the city of Hanoi. After check in you will have free time to relax, then your guide will see you again for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Your first day will be completed by a water puppet show – a unique art performance in Vietnam – before you return to your hotel

Day 2. Hanoi city tour (B/L/-)

This full day tour takes you around Hanoi’s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, House-on-Stilts, the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda.  After that you will visit the Quan Thanh Temple and the Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest pagoda originally constructed in the sixth century. For lunch you have two options:  enjoy a Hanoi special dish “Cha Ca” at Cha Ca La Vong restaurant, one of the most unique (over a hundred years old) restaurants located in the Hanoi Old Quarter.  Or you can taste a “Pho”, another worldwide famous dish from Hanoi.  Afternoon you can choose to visit one of the city’s Museums: Vietnam History Museum, Vietnam Ethnology Museum, Vietnam Military History Museum, and the Temple of Literature, before having a walk around the Lake of the Restored Sword, visit the Ngoc Son Temple and enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee at a street-pub. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

You leave Hanoi for Halong Bay via the Red River Delta. Upon arrival you will have a short break at the Café Lounge. Welcome on board. You will set out on a junk cruise on the bay while seafood lunch is served. After lunch, you will take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck.

In the late afternoon, you will take a take a bamboo row boat to visit an interesting fishing village with an opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. You also take a kayak to discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board to enjoy watching the peaceful sunset, joining a Vietnamese cooking demonstration and later unwind at a restaurant.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Hue (Brunch)

Early birds will have a chance to join in the Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck and view the sunrise over the bay with a cup of coffee or tea.  After breakfast  you will take a tender to visit one of the most beautiful limestone grottos – Sung Sot cave. Your junk sets sail to cruise back to the dock while you enjoy a final glimpse of Halong Bay. Having brunch before et back to Harbour. On the journey back to Hanoi you will have a stop at the Phu Lang ceramic village – one of the most famous ceramic brands dated from 17th – 19th century in the North of Vietnam.

Afternoon you will go directtly to Airport for fly to Hue

Day 5: Hue city tour (B/L)

The beautiful riverside pagoda of Thien Mu which now becomes the symbol of Hue, and the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc are not to be missed. We include these in a guided cruise on the Perfume River which also gives us a taste of the scenic countryside as well as an enjoyable visit to the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. After an impressive boat trip we return to the town. Sightseeing tour takes us in the massive citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City. This royal residence was all but destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins and enjoy a walk to the bustling Dong Ba Market that sells a wide variety of local goods and handicrafts. Along the way we pass by many fantastic eating spots, ideal places for visitors to sample some local delicacies.

Day 6: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B/L)

Heading out of the town, we drive south to Hoi An which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. Along the way we can break the journey in Lang Co Beach for a leisurely swim and an enjoyable visit to a nearby fishing village. The winding road begins as we make our way up the spectacular Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes. The next stop of our trip is Da Nang which is famous for the Cham Museum. After seeing this sight we continue to the beach and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe.

Day 7: Hoi An (B/L/-)

In the morning you will have a walking tour to explore the old houses, narrow streets, moss-grown walls, lantern makers. You will stop to visit some of the most interesting sights of the town including Japanese Covered Bridge, House of Tuy Tien Duong, Quan Cong Temple, Old houses, Chinese Assembly Halls and handicraft workshop and traditional arts performance. Lunch at local restaurant then you have free time at leisure on the beach. You may want to try the fast-services tailoring, one of the famous services in this town to have a suite, a traditional long-dress…in a few hours with best quality and reasonable prices.  You stay overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: My Son Ruins (B/-/-)

Today you will take a trip to discover another World Heritage site My Son – the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century and is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham areas in Vietnam. The complex is comprised of seventy Hindu-like towers and temples dating from the second century. This site is a must-see for those people who are interested in architecture and ancient civilizations and is now one of five UNESCO World Heritage sites in Vietnam. Back to the town. Free. At leisure.

Day 9: Hoi An – Danang- HCMC (by flight)(B/L)

An early morning transfer to the airport for a short flight (VN1307 – 08:30 – 09:40) to Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This bustling metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafe. A city tour takes us in the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. After seeing the War Remnant, we continue to the bustling Ben Thanh Market for an appreciation of local life.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 10: Half-day Cu Chi Underground Tunnels (B/L)

In the morning you will drive to visit Cu Chi tunnels. Very famous in the wartime with its smart and complicated system including underground meeting room, kitchen, food, weapon caches, hospital. This underground complex plays a major role in the Vietnamese winning the war and is a must-see when you are in Saigon. You are invited to crawl around in the safer parts of the tunnel system or try a shooting range where you can fire a number of assault rifles, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. Lunch will be at a local restaurant located in a village before you are back to Saigon. Afternoon is your free time for relax or souvenir shopping at the city downtown.

Day 11: HCMC – Can Tho (B/L)

Today you will drive out toward the South-Western Vietnam to Mekong Delta or “Nine Dragon River Delta”. Surrounding by thousands of crisscrossed canals, life in the Mekong Delta revolves much around the river, most of villages are often accessible by rivers and canals rather than by road.

After two-hour drive you will arrive My Tho. Upon arrival you will take a sampan motor-boat on the Tien river to the Thoi Son ( Unicorn) islet, one of the four famous islets ( Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, Phoenix). From here you follow a village path passing local houses, visiting some family-run coconut candy mill, take a horse-cat from village to village or enjoy a sampan rowing along small canals. Lunch with local dishes will be served right in the garden restaurant. You also have a chance to experience a “ Southern Vietnamese folk music “, a common art activity in the Mekong Delta performed by local people. Rejoin your car continue to Can Tho, the heart of Mekong Delta. Hotel check in and enjoy  your leisure. Dinner will be at local restaurant. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 12: Floating market – Delta biking – Saigon – Phnom Penh (by flight)(B/L)

A bit early wake up today and ready to join in the Mekong Delta floating market, one of the most exciting activities you should do when you are in this area. You can start the motorized boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market, experience how people exchanging goods, fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. You easily find the wholesaler big boats hang the goods she buys/sells on the pole – a mark for reseller  small boats know where they have to go from a certain distance.  You also find floating restaurants, floating bars, floating gas stations, and many other floating shops. After sample some local fruits at the market, you will be back to the shore and take a bike cycling from village to village on path, over monkey bridges, get in touch with local people. Lunch is at local restaurant before driving back to Saigon airport for flight to Phnom Penh/Cambodia.

Day 13: Phnom Penh (B/L/-)

Today you have a full day to visit Phnom Penh capital including the Royal Palace and the nearby Silver Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the country. You continue to visit the legendary temple of Wat Phnom, which provides an interesting view over the environs. The next stop will be the National Museum, exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. After lunch at local restaurant you will visit the notorious Toul Sleng Museum (S-21). The rest of day is at leisure or you may do shopping at the Central Market and Toul Tompong Market . Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 14: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap  -Angkok Wat (by flight)(B/L/-)

After breakfast you take flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Welcome pick up at airport and transfer to your hotel for a short break then you met your local guide again and start to visit the famous temple Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Continue to visit the Bakheng Temple then you will enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng hill. Buffet Dinner with dance Apsaras show at local restaurant. Overnight in Seam Reap.

Day 15: Siem Reap (B/L/-)

Early morning you will have a transfer to Angkor Wat to enjoy sunrise. Back to hotel for freshen up and breakfast. After a short drive from you hotel, you will embark on elephant ride from South Gate of Angkor Thom into jungle of archeological area to the famous Bayon temple – a unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphoun, the Terrace of Temple, Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant. You then continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Krovan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei and Ta Keo. Overnight in Seam Reap.

Day 16: Siem Reap departure (B)
