Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi, welcomed by Viet Flame Tours‘s guide and transfer to hotel. Free and  leisure.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi (B, L)

08:00 Leave Hanoi Capital for Ninh Binh, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. About 10:00 arrive Hoa Lu, visit the the two temples of King Dinh and King Le in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu). King Dinh Tien Hoang chose this mountain location as the water systems fed from the mountains were perfect for both agriculture and defense. Enjoy the sight of palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions built by different dynasties and visit the Dinh and Le Temples, the two remaining architectures of Hoa Lu. Have lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you will get on bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long river to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way.

Then visit Bich Dong Pagoda comprising three pagodas located at different levels on a green mountain and the setting of the French film ‘Indochina’

16:30: Back to the Harbour for the transfer to Hanoi.

18:45: Arrive in Hanoi. Relax and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi city tour (B, L)

Depart at 8.00 am from hotel, we begin to visit Ho Chi Minh complex, learning a lot about his great life comprising the Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, his residential place and one pillar pagoda (this is very special pagoda in Vietnam). We will be traveling next to the Temple of Literature – the place of the first University and temple for Confucius in Vietnam, Having lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, you can choose 1 museums in Hanoi – Museum of Ethnology, Army Museum or Women’s Museum. The journey will be continued by the visit to Tran Quoc  Pagoda is located in Westlake.after that going back to centre of Hanoi to visit Hoan Kiem lake.  We finish the day by attending a very nice show of Water Puppet or taking the one-hour relaxing Cyclo (rickshaw) trip around the Old Quarter.

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

07:45-08:00 Pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the pier to board a superior cruise where welcome drinks await. After check– in, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the magical bay where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the water like dragon teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay. Swim on a quite beach, or sunbathe on the deck. In the afternoon, back on board for the sunset view and have a chance to enjoy cooking class at restaurant then enjoy the meal you have prepared. Overnight on the cruise.

Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi  (B, L)

Optional early wake up call to admire the dramatic sunrise on the bay. Breakfast and a tea or coffee cup before departing to the splendid Sung Sot Cave where stalactites hanging from the high ceiling. Day 6: Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L) – by flight

Transfer to Noi Bai Airport after breakfast for the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals. A full day city tour takes in the city’s bustling Chinatown and begins with a visit to the Thien Hau Temple, Then visit a lacquer ware factory to witness workers continuing a Vietnamese ancestral tradition. After lunch visit the War Museum and the former Presidential Palace, from there on you will go on foot (the car will be available at all times) to visit the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. finally take you to Hotel for check in and rest.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L)

Depart to Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta. Board the Cai Be Princess junk boat and start the tour with the visit of the colourful Cai Be floating market. Follow with a visit of some local home factories that produce rice paste, rice pop corn and coconut candies. Cruise then to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through large networks of meandering rivers, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Lunch at a fruit orchard then cruise to Vinh Long and discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)

Departure day. At leisure for shopping until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward flight.
